The beginning...

The beginning reminded me of a song by Rellika, which is a huge compliment. Kept me listening.

After the snare roll build up and dropoff at 1:04, I thought the crash there should have had a longer tail. It was even more abrupt that I expected. And when it came back in, it was WEAK! You should have had everything going there, drums, bass, lead synth, all kinds of energetic. That's what I was expecting, and I was in a position to dance. Then... Nothing.

Then it starts to build up again. I do like how you have the synth transition from being in tune with itself, to slightly detuned oscillators. Get that supersaw going. And it built up and... You did the SAME THING at 2:30. You killjoy.

This song never got super energetic and never gave me a chance to dance. I am disappoint. But the composition itself was good, if not repetitive, so I give you an 8/10, 4/5

K00vi responds:

Thanks

Very good!

All in all, the whole piece meshes with itself. Which is a good thing.

The only real complaint that I have is that the ducking/sidechaining seems really excessive to me. It actually kinda hurt my ears. Other than that, great tune here!

F-777 responds:

Thanks so much! hehe ye i agree its a bit too much.

Good, good

The word you're looking for is "dubstyle."
It's already been done >:D
MF Point of Perfection - Brennan Heart

DisguisedAfro responds:

yes yes, so i've heard ;D
but it seems like there is a small difference between the two tracks compared ;p .
thanx for the vote & review :D

This is really interesting

I really liked this. I thought it was extremely interesting, very very experimental. Not the average song. At all.

I would say it's more ambient, though. Not really techno.

Definitely being downloaded :D

It's

*cough* It's shamisen. Not shimasen. XD Shimasen would mean "don't do" just by the way.

However, great track. The shamisen itself sounded synthesized, but what it plays is fairly legit for Japanese shamisen music.

YouriX responds:

Funny that you thought that it was sythesized even though i sliced the notes from a shamisen musician.

And yes i know! I cant edit the name since its over 3000 listens :(
But thanks for the review ;)

Absolutely beautiful!!!

Great, everything is just in its place. As far as frequencies go, that is. I would suggest some stereo seperation.

Also, this one's originally from Final Fantasy. The first one. It's the title song. :D

Rinibra responds:

Thank you and I didn't know that, I never really was much of a follower of Final Fantasy. Thanks though :D

You know

You know that I know that he knows that I'm the man, and you're the man, and he's the man as well, so you can point that fuckin' finger up your ass.

For reals, though, good shit for a start. The fakie mix kinda threw me for a loop there (ba dum tish.)

It actually got a little painful, it just felt like there was some kind of phasing that was causing an airplane taking off feeling.

But otherwise, it was great. Nice lead and bass, nice sound on the guitar. :D

Burn7 responds:

Thanks dude!

I definitely went crazy with the modulation and filtering in some areas, causing the craziest phase stuff I've ever made. Which is fun, but not always the best for good music-making.

Gracias for the review :D

Not bad, yeah?

Not terrible for a first try at the dubs. The wobble is even a little filthy. Tell your girlfiend I said 3 thumbs up for a first try!

Oh my god.

This is seriously the best thing I have heard in a long, LONG time. This is fuckin' hilarious.
